College Leaders Career Conference Application Instructions

Please note that there is no way to save the application and return to work on it later. For this reason, we recommend preparing all of the following information in advance in another program so that you can save your responses to the essay questions.

There are several short essay questions that each require up to a 300 word response. The questions are:

* Describe your recent leadership activities. What do you consider to be your highest leadership achievement so far? What challenges did you face along the way?
*Tell us about a time you went into a situation with an opinion, and through engaging with someone who had a different opinion or perspective from you, you changed your mind or your opinion evolved?  This can be a political example or a personal example.
* What policy issues in Virginia inspire you to get involved?
* What are your professional or academic goals for after you graduate?
* What specific skills, knowledge or resources do you hope to acquire as a result of participating in the Sorensen Institute College Leaders Career Conference?

As well as a short response to:

* How did you learn about the Sorensen Institute?

Once you start the application there is no way to save partial work so make sure you have everything you need to complete the application.

Applicants may also submit a resume or activity sheet and up to two letters of recommendation. These letters are not required, and we will not review more than two letters. To be considered, letters can be either emailed to Sarah.Campbell@virginia.edu by DEADLINE, addressed to:
